A wonderful Lithuanian documentary with a great history that every citizen of Lithuania should know. After the film, we wondered why this story isn’t (or at least wasn’t) presented in the history lessons in school. Unlike many of today's documentaries that directly recreate events with the help of actors, in this film the main narrator - Simas Kudirka - himself tell about the events, showing exactly how everything went. A very good, intriguing and eye-catching piece.

A horror thriller, which seems to be trying to be somewhat unique, find something new in its genre, but in the end the film is quite predictable, usual horror movie elements are used throughout the film. Although, the movie is quite good and manages to keep the tension until the end.

Serious, but at the same time easy, funny, but at the same time very difficult. We learn about the ending of the story at the very beginning, but waiting for the event creates constant tension, engages and makes us think about what the true friendship means.

A wonderful story of humans, showing that people need a mutual relationship at all conditions and sometimes no obstacles can stop it. Also it's a story of choices and understanding that not everything in life can be the way you want it to be. I highly recommend this movie for anyone who likes the movies with a meaning.

The plot of the film seemed to be quite interesting, with intrigue maintained until the last minute and uncertainty about what was going on and what really happened. Although, readers of the book on the Internet complain of plot inconsistencies, so if you’ve read A. J. Finn’s book, you may not like the film very much.

A great reflection of the culture of alcohol consumption in society, neither too encouraging nor too moralizing. A great plot that attracts to the screen, amazing acting and a similar to the real life story - for a wonderful evening with European films.

It’s a different horror film. Although there are intimidating elements in several places, the plot of the film is much deeper than it may seem at first. I really enjoyed the fact that the cinematic work tries to recreate many ideas and even phrases from the story. These and other similar details suggest that Stephen King's original story was indeed analysed in the creation of the film's plot, and attempts were made to recreate the ideas in one way or another, although the plot soon turns in a completely different direction. From entering the room, the events begin in an enclosed space. This is a rather complicated solution in cinema - the space is very limited, there is only one actor in it, so there must be a really good plot so that more than an hour of the film taking place in such an environment won't make the audience bored. For me, personally, I didn’t really feel that in this film - the action is constantly evolving, from simple events to increasing horrific events that affect the protagonist even more. At the entrance to the room, it can be said that the similarities between the short story and the film fade out, although from time to time they still occur, but the attack carried out by the room is completely different and does not start immediately. "1408" is a really strong psychological horror film, one of my most liked works of this genre. The intriguing story, the effects used, the attempt toshow the Stephen King's story in a non-standard way paid off and really met my expectations.

The film seems to have just been tried to be framed in an hour and a half. Reading the book, it seemed as if there weren’t a lot of events and the usual duration of the film would be enough to display the action, but everything on the screen changes very quickly and it doesn’t really make you feel like you’re into the plot the way you would like to be. The film is rather weak, the acting of the actors playing the changes is unconvincing on most scenes, sometimes it really seems as if a simple student film is shown rather than the work of serious filmmakers. In the end, it’s hard to believe the decisions of the script disclosure. The whole decision at the end of the film, which was supposed to become a huge culmination of the action, leaves a very poor impression.
